Advanced and Expert Training Programs

AGI offers one-week and two-week Advanced and Expert Training Programs. These programs transfer know-how and skills to assist an organization in developing, upgrading, or sustaining their application of TOC solutions. Some of these programs require other courses as a prerequisite.

“Critical to implementation at our company. The course is helping me to better understand the steps required for implementation.”

“Clarified the mission of implementing TOC PM in our organization by bringing clarity to the technical process and by beginning to discuss organizational implications.“

“I will walk away with the greatest degree of applicability to real world applications… more so than any other professional development course I have attended. TOCLSS training has opened my mind to a different and powerful way of perceiving and acting in the world of production.”

Advanced TOC for Production and Operations
Five-Day Program
Schedule   -   Register Online

Provides in-depth skills and know-how of how to configure and manage a production / operations system (or conversion network) to operate in a manner that utilizes its limited capacity in the most effective way to meet customer demand. This is the Supply Chain element that is involved with converting raw materials to finished goods – some organizations may take ‘broken product’ and convert it to ‘usable product’ as in a repair operation. The attendee will also learn how to manage the system in a way that minimizes the need for expediting and focuses attention on only the critical few actions necessary to meet customer demand. Topics covered include Production, Operations, Maintenance, and Repair environments, including the different operational flows (V, A, T, I), and the TOC production solution of Drum Buffer-Rope and Buffer Management. In addition, the program provides the technical know-how to properly apply the application concepts using the Theory of Constraint’s Five Focusing Steps.

Advanced TOC for Supply Chain
Five-Day Program
Schedule   -   Register Online

Provides in-depth skills and know-how of how to effectively configure and manage a Supply Chain or Network that will be responsive to customer demand and achieve its ‘right material, right place, at the right time’. This program focuses primarily on the logistics associated with the distribution of goods through a Supply Network. In addition, the attendee will learn how to manage the system in a way that focuses decision-making to ensure that customer demand is met without the emergency expediting requirements that are all too common. Topics include the TOC Supply Chain Solution, including the concepts of Replenishment and Demand-Pull. Tools, methods and processes are used within the program that can also be used to further facilitate the configuration and management process.

Participants who complete both Advanced TOC for Production and Operations and Advanced TOC for Supply Chain have taken the two parts of the Supply Chain Technical Expert Program

Advanced TOC Lean Six Sigma (TOCLSS) for Production
Five-Day Program
Schedule   -   Register Online

Provides an in-depth understanding of how to apply improve events in a production environment to reduce waste and variation and increase the “velocity” of products in production operations. In addition, the program provides information to determine what type of improvement methods to use in a production environment to ensure an impact on bottom line system results. Avoiding “design” discords between TOC and LSS is also covered.

TOC Portfolio Management Technical Expert Program
Ten-Day Program
Schedule   -   Register Online

Provides the skills and know-how of the TOC Portfolio Management solution to equip the participants with the necessary technical knowledge to implement and support the logistical aspects of TOC PM in their organization. Participants are able to build networks, create Critical Chain schedules by hand, understand the logic of synchronization and how it affects individual Critical Chain schedules, identify synchronizers, establish project priority, manage by buffers, and budget Critical Chain schedules. Participants also understand the major areas of alignment needed in operational responsibilities and metrics.
