BREAKOUT SESSIONS - SUPPLY CHAIN

TOC SUPPLY CHAIN: It's Based on Market Demand-PullSM ... but there's more
Presenter:
Hugh Cole
April 14 at 11:00

There are a couple of TOC Logistical Solutions that are needed if you're really serious about improving your supply chain. You need to address not only the requirement to produce the right stuff, but also make sure that production does so in the most effective way. And there's more. Most supply chains cross organizational boundaries. How do you deal with that?

HENRY FORD'S LEAN ENTERPRISE SYSTEM & TOC - A COMPARISION & CONTRAST
Presenter:
Bill Levinson
April 14 at 3:30

Japan adopted Henry Ford's lean enterprise system as the Toyota production system. Identification and elimination of all forms of waste were central to Ford's business system, as were continuous improvement (kaizen), standardization, and best practice deployment. Ford ran a balanced factory at close to 100% capacity without accumulating inventory as shown in The Goal's matchstick and dice exercise. Supression of time variation was the secret. Many of the ideas that Ford had encompass the same principles as TOC. This session will compare and contrast them.

SO MANY TOOLS...SO LITTLE TIME
Presenters:
Hugh Cole & Dale Houle
April 15 at 11:00 (part 1) & 3:30 (part 2)

How many ongoing improvement initiatives to you have? There are certainly many powerful tools and methods out there: lean, six-sigma, kaizen -- and TOC -- just to name a few. Of course, there is also more pressure than ever to get improved bottom line results. If you're trying to figure out how you can get the fastest results out of your toolbox, come to these sessions. We'll discuss our ideas -- and experience.

THE REST OF THE STORY: More Details of Supply Chain Buy-In
Presenters:
Hugh Cole & Bruce Watson
April 16 at 11:00

Just what would the details of internal and external buy-in look like in a Supply Chain implementation? How do you target? What do you do? This breakout session is designed to go into significant detail concerning how to move a large organization and how to deal with external organizations. This is a truly unique opportunity to hear the voice of experience.
