The AGI Approach to Training
AGI provides a full array of training. We offer introductory programs for awareness and buy-in, but the majority of our training programs are focused on transferring skills and know-how to enable our clients to lead and sustain real gains in their organization.
Introductory Training Programs
AGI offers two-day introductory training programs at its locations or on a dedicated basis at a client site. These programs are designed to deliver a basic level of understanding of a specific TOC solution and include the major elements of the solution.
On a dedicated basis, these programs can be customized to achieve buy-in of key leaders within the organization to move forward with a particular solution.
Advanced and Expert Training
AGI offers one-week and two-week Advanced and Expert Training Programs. These programs transfer know-how and skills to assist an organization in developing, upgrading, or sustaining their application of TOC solutions. Some of these programs require other courses as a prerequisite.
Train-the-Trainer Programs
AGI offers different levels of Train-the-Trainer Programs that prepare and certify internal personnel within the organization to teach AGI Introductory Programs or Technical Expert Programs. These programs require a signed usage agreement to use the specified AGI products within their organization. These programs have other courses as their prerequisites.
Critical Thinking Tools Programs
The TOC Thinking Processes were one of the earlier developments of TOC at AGI. Based on the two logic constructs of science, these varied set of tools can be used collectively, strategically, or individually to gain breakthrough results.
Training Programs for Implementation
AGI has developed a series of modularized training programs to support the roll out of TOC logistic based solutions. These programs are responsibility-specific and meant to be used on a just-in-time basis. Each training module follows a three part design:
- transferring conceptual foundation
- transferring the organization’s specific processes and tools
- the student’s immediate, direct application of the process and tool to their responsibility.
These programs integrate process and software into a seamless program in support of the organization’s desired operational model. Based on AGI’s model to overcome layers of resistance, the modules ensure an organizational transformation while minimizing organizational churn.
Dedicated Strategy Workshops
The key to implementing the right strategy, whether organization unique or based on a constraint-based operational model, is leadership alignment. There are three workshops for strategy that AGI facilitates.
